The Integrated Media: Video (AAS) degree is designed for students seeking careers in video production, filmmaking, digital media, and content creation. The curriculum combines creative storytelling with hands-on technical training to prepare students for professional work in video and media production environments.

Coursework includes topics such as video production, cinematography, documentary filmmaking, audio production, editing, storytelling, and commercial media production. Students develop practical technical and creative skills using professional film studios, high-definition production equipment, and industry-standard editing software.

The Integrated Media: Video program is workforce-focused and prepares students for careers such as camera assistants, digital imaging technicians (DITs), grips, boom operators, production assistants, assistant editors, and other roles in film, television, advertising, and digital media industries.

Students may have opportunities to participate in internships and gain industry experience through connections with the local film and advertising community.

Required Equipment: Students are required to provide open-back or semi-open-back headphones and a portable external hard drive for use throughout the program.

Students are encouraged to work with an advisor to ensure appropriate course selection and program planning based on their educational background and career goals.

The following requirement(s) must be fulfilled to be awarded the AAS in Integrated Media: Video degree:

  • All core program courses (VP, IM) must be completed within ten (10) years of starting the program.
