The following curriculum guide aligns with Associate of General Studies degree and includes the prerequisite courses that enable a student to apply for MHCC’s Nursing program. Courses listed below may also enable students to apply to other schools in the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE) or that plan to enter a BSN program at a 4-year university. Students following this curriculum will not be able to list Nursing as their major until they are accepted into the program. Following this curriculum does not guarantee that a student will be accepted into a nursing program. It is critical that people interested in the Nursing program read the Nursing Application pages at to fully understand the process of applying to the program.

Please note the Nursing application is revised annually and the Pre-Nursing plan may not reflect all of the changes that will be in the upcoming application, nor may it be appropriate for all students. Students interested in applying for the MHCC Nursing program are encouraged to work closely with an adviser to create an education plan.
